Our precious daughter has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, and for the first time in my life I’m reading about this auto-immune disease, and listening to the astounding number of stories about this wide-spread illnes.

MS seems beyond neat definition.  Sometimes people go into remission, others become wheelchair bound.  Some suffer greatly, others manage to continue in their jobs and live tolerably free of debilitating pain and suffering.

God has not forsaken anyone who suffers, while in this brief time on earth.  Suffering might even be the crucible through which our we are refined and purified.  But few of us want to suffer.

Anyway, here’s kind of a heartening story of one man’s journey with suffering.
