Elections are a privilege of a democratic government, but often the politicians who get in, turn out to be nothing like the image they tried so hard to present, and we are left sad,…… but seldom wiser.  Who can you vote for in a world where clever acting and persuasive words get you into power?

I’ve sure been fooled enough times, but lets vote for men and women who work to keep Canada a free and democratic nation, where individuals can explore, and find the One who alone will never fail His people.

Sung by George Jones - (Dallas Frazier - Sanger D. Shafer)

        G G7
Chorus They baptized Jesse Taylor,
            C G
        In Cedar Creek last Sunday,
                                                        D
Jesus gained a soul and satan lost a good right arm,
             G G7 C G
They all cried "Hallelujah" when Jesse's head went under,
                                      D7 G
Cause this time he went under for the Lord.

        G G7 C
 1. Among the local taverns, there'll be a slack in business,
              G D7
Cause Jesse's drinking came before the groceries and the rent,
        G G7 C
Among the local women, there'll be a slack in cheatin'
              G C D7 G
Cause Jesse won't be steppin' out again.

        G G7
Chorus They baptized Jesse Taylor,
            C G
        In Cedar Creek last Sunday,
                                                        D
Jesus gained a soul and satan lost a good right arm,

They all cried "Hallelujah" when Jesse's head went under,
                                      D7 G
Cause this time he went under for the Lord.

        G G7 C
 2. The scars on Jesse's knuckles are more than just respected,
            G D7
The county courthouse records tell all there is to tell,
        G G7 C
The pockets of the gamblers will soon miss Jesse's money,
              G C D7 G
And the black eye of the law will soon be well.

                                      D7 G

        G G7 C
  3. From now on, Nancy Taylor can proudly speak to neighbors,
            G D7
And tell them just how Jesse took up with little Jim,
            G G7 C
Now Jimmy's got a daddy, and Jesse's got a family,
           G C D7 G
And Franklin County's got a lot more man.
