What the New Testament teaches about Creation, Fall, Flood (arranged in Genesis order)

• there was a time called “the beginning” (Jn 1:1)

• the earth was formed “out of water” and “through water” by the word of God (2Pe 3:5)

• God created light by speaking (2Cor 4:6)

• God made the world and everything in it (Ac 17:24; Rv 4:11)

• God made the heaven and the earth and the sea and everything in them (Ac 4:24; 14:15)

• the universe was created by the word of God (Heb 11:3)

• God’s creation exhibits his eternal power and divine nature (Rom 1:20)

• the first man was from the earth, a man of dust (1Cor 15:47)

• man made in God’s image and likeness (1Cor 11:7; James 3:9; implied in Mt 22:21; Mk 12:17)

• “the first man, Adam, became a living being” (1Cor 15:45)

• God made from one man every nation of mankind (Ac 17:26)

• Adam was formed first, then Eve (1Tim 2:13)

• woman was made from man, and for man (1Cor 11:8f.)
