Comments on Andrew Coyne’s article:

“Past Liberal efforts to demonize the Conservatives for harbouring several pro-life MPs amongst their number had not been having quite the desired effect, owing to the presence of a good many such heretics in their own ranks. Even by the standards of that great party, this stank of hypocrisy – not because it undermined the party’s position in favour of the unrestricted right to abort a fetus, on demand and at public expense, but because it implied abortion was something reasonable people could disagree on. Which tends to get in the way of a good fear campaign.”

(Gerda)  Coyne goes on to say “An issue is not settled just because one side says it is.” …… which is interesting since he writes, ” We would not be required, in 2014, to allow a debate on , say, slavery, OR EVOLUTION, (Bold is mine) just because someone’s conscience demanded it. Some issues really are settled.”

But evolution is not settled at all Mr. Coyne! Not because you say it is. Statistics vary here and there, but depending on who does the survey, where and when it is taken, some 40 to 50% of educated North Americans do not accept the ‘just-so’ stories of how bacteria turned into biologists.

That it is the ruling paradigm is true. That public money is poured into indoctrination via public schools and the media, to try to wrest all reference to the Creator of the universe out of the hearts and minds of humanity,……. is true.

That the excellent writer Andrew Coyne seems to accept the dog’s breakfast of, all over the map scenarios, about how we MUST have evolved, because there is no Divine Creator,….. is true.

But Andrew, “An issue is not settled just because one side says it is.”

What’s this got to do with evolution?

Evolution is a scientific theory about how we got here. Evolution is not a moral issue, except for religious extremists. Abortion is killing babies in the womb, which is a moral issue. There is no comparison with evolution.

Abortion is much more comparable to slavery, which you also mentioned. Eventually civilized societies recognized that it was wrong to abuse other human beings through the dehumanizing label of ‘slave.’ Maybe some day the pro-aborters will feel the same way about slaughtering their offspring, err, I mean, “a woman’s reproductive rights.”

Hello YungChris: You asked, “What’s this got to do with evolution?” Well you might ask Andrew Coyne, since he injected that into his article, (above).

You said, “Evolution is a scientific THEORY about how we got here.” Coyne says evolution is SETTLED, (ie: fact). Coyne falls into the pattern of parroting the ruling paradigm.

What does anyone know to be settled FACT, about the absolute nonesence that you, or Andrew Coyne, or Justin Trudeau or any human being arrived through a process that depends on, untold billions of lucky accidents, (mutations), natural selection (the early deaths of life forms). Throw in the mix all sorts of things like genetic drift, changes that do not provide the needed transformation upward, from one KIND of life form to a new KIND.

Evolution is not true, which is why its adherents work so furiously to suppress the voices of those who point out the paucity of the theory. Time…..millions, billions of years of time, is the magic wand that is waved over everything. You must believe the fairy tale because the magician wears a white coat and has a title.

Evolution is not repeatable, not testable, not falsifiable, not observable. Evolution is nothing more than a religion. It is based on hopeful monsters, just-so-stories, flimsy data, and outright fraud.

But Andrew brings it into his article because he believes this is settled…….like slavery.

But even more than slavery, the denial of our Creator, the author of all life, who spoke the universe into existence, this is the ultimate moral question. Evolution is not based on factual science. The data does not support this theory, only the massive propaganda of those who want to deny the Lord of life, keeps this bogus story afloat.

But logically, if there is no god. If material is all we are, or ever will be,……why not eat, drink and be merry, for tomorrow you die.

Why not have sex randomly – and rip away the resulting little children within the safety of their mother’s womb? There is (you hope) no god.
